Grounding resources
Grounding is not about making difficult feelings disappear. It is a way to notice what is here now and offer your nervous system a little more support.
Name five things you can see, four things you can feel, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.
Place both feet on the floor or rest a hand over your heart. Notice the support beneath you and take a few unhurried breaths.
A glass of water, a brief walk, a familiar song, or a moment of rest can be enough. Let the next step be small and possible.
Before your first session
You are welcome to arrive with questions, uncertainty, or simply a sense that you would like support. Your first session is a space to talk about what is bringing you in and what you hope may feel different.
There is no expectation to share more than feels right. We can move at a pace that respects your comfort, capacity, and goals.
